Q: Do you charge a fee?

A: No, we are completely free to join and will never charge any fees for being a member.

Q: Why?

A: Energy is expensive enough as it is, you don't need to be paying any more than you have to.

Q: So how and why do you do it then?

A: I have seen case after case of the most vulnerable in society being overcharged for years without even knowing. This is both unfair and immoral. By working together, we can ensure that the playing field is levelled.

Q: How do you pay for it and have the free time to run it?

A: Oil companies pay me a small fee to bring the volume to them. I use this to help run the website and keep the group going. The savings we generate by being together vastly outweigh this fee, meaning we still get large discounts on if we were to buy alone.

I'm lucky enough to have the time to be able to dedicate to this and have gained the experience and knowledge in the industry to understand exactly how to interact best with the system.

Q: So how does it all work and how do I join?

Here are the basics: I contact a range of companies each Monday, gather the best prices possible tailored to our group because of our collective bargaining power and share these via my Monday newsletter sent via email. Whenever you wish to order, just reply to my email and I place the order with the supplier. Payments are arranged after delivery. You can join and find out more directly here.

A Word from Our Founder

Warm Bond was founded by me, George (with loving support and encouragement from my, incredibly better half, and partner Teodora) in 2025. I had spent the last three years working on the other side of the wall, as the Syndicate and Group manager for one of the major heating oil suppliers here in the UK. Despite this coming to an end with a company restructuring, I felt it clearer now more than ever that there is a strong argument for community organisation.

Far too many people, including many elderly and lesser-abled individuals, are being consistently charged over the odds for such a key lifeline, particularly over the cold winter months. The aim of Warm Bond is to come together as a group and use the power of collective bargaining to ensure we receive the best prices and delivery service possible.

We are a forever free service for members and will never ask any member for any admin, transaction, or any other fee. That being said, you are welcome to send a bottle of Sauvignon my way around Christmas!
